Mediterranean Games on beach
The Mediterranean Games on the beach are an important sporting event involving three continents in the Mediterranean Area.
The Exhibition is a natural continuation of the Mediterranean Games classics and represents an opportunity to bring together in one place Youth Olympic athletes from countries as diverse in culture, traditions, language, religion, and to renew the spirit of Olympism that is foundation for friendship, brotherhood, solidarity and peace among peoples; also is the possibility of increasing the international relations between the countries of the Mediterranean, not only in sports, but also for the pursuit of objectives in the economic, trade and tourism.
The event will take place from August 28th to September 6th 2015.
The objectives of the Organizing Committee Pescara 2015 are to: engage the best athletes of the 24 participating nations in the 11 disciplines involved; to know the area, aware of its scenic beauty and numerous historical / cultural enclosed in every corner; entrust a sports event of the world responsible for stimulating throughout Whereas today, the sport, the one practiced, is no longer just an accessory or a way of understanding tourism but, often, becomes the same goal of tourism, serving as a new mode of territorial development and environmental protection; promote and celebrate the first edition of the Mediterranean Games on the beach in Pescara as a dynamic city with a legacy of investment in culture and sports; conduct sustainable Games by creating temporary sports facilities for the benefit of the community. The Committee, therefore, in that directive, is intended to encourage the promotion, organization and conduct of the First Mediterranean Games on the beach – Pescara 2015, to collect the necessary resources, also performing commercial activities related and ancillary to the promotion of ‘event, carrying out financial transactions and balance sheet, assets and liabilities, the nature of property and goods to realize anything else necessary to enable the smooth running of the event. As with any major event, also the Mediterranean Games on the beach will be preceded by an opening ceremony and a Closing during which there will be the passage of the flag of the ICMG symbol of the Games, the Mayor of the City you will be awarded the ‘ organization of the next edition.
