The Modus Vivendi ecoalbergo born to experience a new way of doing tourism, even ecotourism, combining sensitivity and environmental well-being. The ecoalbergo is the result of the recovery of a beautiful hills of Abruzzo and the ruins of his quiet village. It was an exciting return to enliven rooms forgotten and the ancient woods of oak, witness of past cultures.

It is set among the oaks of a panoramic hill, wedged between the mountains of Appennino dropping down to the sea, Modus Vivendi is an old building made of stone. The natural beauty of the landscape, introduced in Majella National Park, allows every season to enjoy extraordinary views. The residence is the result of a recent restoration carried out in compliance with the original construction methods, applying the standards of bio-architecture.

Location and amenities

Abbateggio (400 msl) is a pretty village with fewer than 500 inhabitants located in Abruzzo, in the Majella National Park not far from the spa Caramanico, (35 Km from Pescara, 15 km from the highway Roma / Pescara). This small town is surrounded by greenery and is perched on a rocky spur that protrudes between Torrents Lavino and Lannella. The fame of the country is mainly due to rock climbing and to be the base for hiking and mountain biking in the heart of the Maiella. The country is also known for Tholos, antichissme stone huts that can be admired in the area around the country, rich area, moreover, of hermitages. Perhaps the foundation of the Samnite, Abbateggio was known in medieval times under the name of Castrum Ab Badigii.
